When was the last time I read a biography. It was probably when I was still in college. I am more of a fictional kind of person. But that does not mean that I am not interested in what others are doing or in what others have done. But this reminds me of autobiographies I have read because I needed to read them for my defunct job as an editorial abstractor. Nope, I did not continue to be one because it was just to hard for me to do. Plus jobs or tasks were few and far between. I did not even know if they paid me or not for all the abstracts that I have done for them.
Anyways, there is a great corporate man called Dennis Carey who made a contribution to several big-time companies. You can read all about it at the biography of Dennis Carey. I remember when I was still working in a regular office as an HR Officer. I was always on the look-out for great ideas. Ideas that would benefit the company greatly and the employees as well. If only I was able to chance upon Dennis Carey at that time. It would have made a great difference to the company.

Well, today since we did not have anything to do. My husband, my daughter and myself watched the movie Kulam. Actually, my daughter was the one who wanted to watch and so we did. But we covered her eyes and made her listen to music from my nokia e71 almost 75 percent of the time. I do not want her to get nightmares. I would get nightmares from watching that movie.
The movie is ok for that type of genre. It was scary, it made me jump a few times and I covered my eyes whenever I felt that the ghost would appear. The thing that was noticeable was ever since the movie, the ring, ghosts seemed to always look like her. Anyways, I think I screamed about 5 times. My screams were always the loudest. Hahaha! Although there was a guy who was laughing his heart out the entire time. Maybe he was scared shitless! And it was his defense mechanism to laugh. I don’t know. Hahaha! But it took out some of my nervousness.

Research is hard especially if there is not enough information on the topic that you are researching about. There are still some topics that do not have enough 411 even on the world wide web such as the case of Daniel Neumeister. Good thing he is linked up at the internet, so we would know where to go if we want to find more about him. Or better yet, if we want to know him and meet him.
That is what’s great about the internet. You can just key in the names (or keywords) and press enter. Information is still information no matter how little information you get. Besides, the information you have gotten will always lead you to new information. Before you know it, you have everything that you will ever need about any subject at all, and that include Mr. Newmeister.
I wonder if I will get any results if I type in my name.

People will always be on the look out for better opportunities. We all want to improve our standard of living. That is why we are always on the look out for jobs abroad. A couple of my former office mates have already migrated abroad because of better pay, better opportunity. They have left their families to be able to give them a more comfortable life. Who blames ‘em? If I was given a chance to work abroad, I would. Just so I will be able to continue giving my daughter the best. Of course, I would like it more if my family comes with me.
Anyways, if you are one of those who are looking for jobs abroad, check out EcoQuest International jobs. Maybe one of the positions available will fit you. It does not hurt to try and apply for it. If you are the one who is chosen, good for you. If not, that is ok, there are still other jobs for you to apply at EcoQuest.

So I was able to finish all 50 levels of cooking dash within a week. I took so long because I was plurking, blogging and doing my online job. So it somehow took a back seat. Plus, I repeated the level every time a customer would walk out.
This is definitely a diner dash game. One of the better games of diner dash. I loved it. I hope they make a Cooking Dash 2 soon. Thanks gigi for this.

I have been having this acne breakouts lately. Maybe because of the constant sleeping at 3 am. I can’t seem to put myself to sleep before that. I alternate my time from blogging to playing my downloaded games and of course plurking. Before I know it, it is already 3 am.
I used to have clear skin that people whom I do not know approach me and ask what kind of skin products I use. Now, I am sure nobody will do that anymore as I need some kind of acne treatment ASAP.

Tomorrow I hope that I will be able to join my daughter and my husband in their early morning jogging appointment. Hahaha! My husband wants my daughter to catch the early rays of the morning sun. Her cough is like a yoyo, it always comes back so maybe what she lacks is really just Mr. Sun.
Who knows by joining them I might be able to lose a couple of pounds and be healthy at the same time. So weight loss products would have to take a back seat for now.

Sometimes you just do not want to watch the news. All they got to say are bad news anyways. And there are days when life is bad enough without you having to hear about the bad news of “other” people. Anyways, to prevent more bad things from happening to us, we have to protect ourselves from it. It is like keeping the doors and the gates locked at night. It is to prevent robbers from getting in and stealing all our stuff. So in the world wide web, they have what they call lifelock. This lifelock prevents identity theft from happening to you. Identity theft is when people get certain information about you that they use to gain access to your credit cards so they purchase their goods online, or your paypal account and others. There are so many things that can happen to us on the world wide web.
If you don’t believe me, check out the Lifelock Reviews. They say when you have the Lifelock, you can shout your Social Security Number to the whole world and nothing will happen to you and to your identity. It is secured with lifelock. So for a LifeLock Discount, go get your LifeLock Promotion Code.

Things happen for a reason and I feel that the reason why I am given a girl is because I do not know how to shop for boys. Ask my husband, I am always at a loss whenever I shop for my nephews. I do not know what kind of shirt to get or what kind of pants, shoes and even toys to get for them. Now that Christmas is just around the corner once again, I will spend hours and hours at toy stores looking for the perfect gift for each kid. Girls I can buy gifts in an instant. But with boys, I get so clueless. I do not know which toy is the much coveted toys of boys at that moment. Is it Ben 10? Is it still Spiderman action figures? Is is still cars? Do they still love to read books?
My husband always tell me that boys will be boys and they love the outdoors. So give them a basketball or batting gloves and they will surely love it. They may not use it now (age appropriateness issue) but they will someday. So maybe all my nephews will be receiving sports related toys this Christmas. Brace yourselves.

Last week, I was watching Moms (at QTV) and I could not help NOT cry with the other mommies who were guests at the show. They have also experienced miscarriages and they somehow expressed what I am feeling inside. I loved what Rita Avila said when people seem to always say the wrong things to her. She actually made a book about what to say when you approach a person who is grieving. Let’s face it, we do not really know what’s the best approach to a person who has just lost someone right. So if you feel the need to say something, read the book first. Personally, i would rather you not say anything. Just a pat on the back or a small smile will do.
Basically, this is what struck me the most and what I have always wanted to say to people who tell me I should move on since it has been a year. She said…”Never say, get over it because it has been a year already. Remember, I am a mom who has lost a child, and how can you get over something like that”.

A friend of mine will go on a European tour on December and as early as now she is already preparing for her trip. I am super envious because she can just pack-up and leave any time as she is still single and is not responsible for anybody other than herself. She is the youngest too amongst 3 children so she pretty much gets what she wants. Anyways, she is asking me what international credit cards to get. Just in case she will need them. Although she already has her plastics, she would like to get another one (or two) for emergencies.

I finally have my laptop in my arms. I am no longer used to the other one. Although it is still working just fine. It could be the reason why I have not been plurking as much last weekend. I got this back the other night, hubby picked it up at the repair shop and brought this baby back to me. The crack is no longer there, the hinge is ok. So yey for me!
Welcome back!

Everything is mobile these days even the employees are required to be mobile. If only companies would make use of video conferencing more, maybe the employees do not have to run around just to attend meetings at almost every city possible. Maybe companies would save more on the operating expense (opex) because Vehicle Reimbursement would be at a minimum.
Anyways, I remember one of the jobs of one of the secretaries was to make sure that the vehicles assigned to the company for employees who will be doing field work was properly managed. So there are vehicles that can be used by employees who were scheduled for meeting, presentation outside of the office premises. Of course, not everybody can be accomodated and so others would just ride the taxi and taxi expenses would have to be reimbursed. Of course, nothing beats having a car and a driver at your disposal but you can’t have that all the time. The trick here is to reserve the company vehicle as soon as you know that you have a meeting on the said date. There is a possibility that you might be bumped off because sometimes the senior officers were given priority. You can always use your car if you do not want to ride a public vehicle and have your gas expenses reimbursed instead.

This is what I probably look like when I plurk. I sometimes laugh out loud much to the surprise of my husband who always look at me as if I am crazy every time I do that. Hahaha! Especially during those early days when I got addicted to plurking. These past few days I have noticed that I have not been plurking much but when I do I still enjoy it.
Take a look while my hubby took a picture of me without me even noticing it. I think I was plurking in the dark. Lol!

I have been a very bad girl lately as I have been using my credit card. I sometimes forget to get cash from the machine especially when I am rushing and that is the time when I need cash the most. Good thing my credit cards are still with me and so I have put them in good use. At least I know they are still working and do not need any credit card repair or replacement. There was a time when I was in a gas station, I thought I still had cash on me but when I checked my wallet, I did not. I was so happy I brought along my credit cards at that time. All I needed to do was to choose which card to use at that time.
The thing with having credit cards is it can be very dangerous as identity thieves are lurking at every corner. Just like they do at a street corner. That is why for online transactions I only use it at those places that I trust.
There is a site where you can get credit report. It is at creditnexus.com. The thing with this organization is it does not stop there. They do not just give out free credit report but they can also do credit repair. So now you can monitor your own credit usages and put a stop on yourself when you are doing too much impulsive shopping.
I think that everybody is trying to limit their expenses as I have noticed that more and more are having these expense reports that they are updating or doing to check if they are going overboard when it comes to their expenses. Everything should be done with conscious effort these days because everything matters and because everything has a price.

So I am back to using the Toshiba laptop, my new one is under repair because of the hinge. It will take at least a week for it to be fixed but we told the repair guy that we will give him additional if he can give it to us on Tuesday, at the most. So let’s see, shall we.
Maybe it is time for me to take a breather (from blogging and plurking) this weekend. Oh well. Hehehehe. I still have my Cooking Dash game to keep me occupied anyways. Thanks Gi.

The new apartment these days are incredibly great as it gives the chance for those who are renting it a chance to own it someday. That is why I prefer rent to own places than those apartments that are for rent. Renting a place is like throwing cash away or putting it down on a garbage chute. It is a waste of time and money. Why rent? When you can rent to own. This can be applicable if you have a business of your own or even for your own home. Do not just think of renting a place but think of being able to get that chance to calling it yours someday.
If you are pushing thru with the rent to own deals, read thoroughly the rent to own contract. You need to also protect yourself from unscrupoulus deals. That is why a contract exits for you to know all about it. So ask yourself what is rent to own now before it’s too late and somebody got that place you have been eyeing on for several months now.
Personally, my husband and I are also checking out different places. Not to big and not to small either. We just haven’t found the perfect place for us.

And when I thought it was over, a fourth “unlucky” event happened. On our way home, a ford car bumped into us. How unlucky could I get. Good thing it was just a mild bump that it did not make any mark on the bumper of the car. But still, nyarks! Although I think my husband “sensed” my unlucky streak because he made us wear our seat belts. As in he did not start the car until we buckled up.
I hope that this day would end soon. Just 4 more hours left!

Do you know that my child at 4 years old is still using her stroller? She actually prefers it if we bring her stroller all the time even at malls. Good thing we have a car that makes it possible to do that. That stroller has been everywhere with us. We have even brought it along during travels. Last summer, when we went to Singapore, we did not bring it and it caused us back aches because we would carry my daughter each and every time she was tired. We regretted not bringing it that time. So if there is one thing that I would recommend parents to buy and the most used thing a baby uses, it’s a stroller. This is based on our own experience. Hahaha.
If ever, I will be given a chance to have a baby once again. I will no longer buy a crib. My daughter did not use her crib at all. I will instead be looking at sturdy, comfortable, lightweight and easy-to-manage strollers.
